10‑Minute Stovetop Brew
- In a saucepan, add 1 cup water, a few crushed cardamom pods, a slice of ginger, and a small cinnamon stick. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
- Add 1 tbsp loose black tea (or 2 teabags). Simmer 2 minutes.
- Stir in 1 cup milk and 1–2 tsp cocoa powder. Heat gently — do not let it boil over.
- Sweeten to taste. Strain into a mug. Dust with cocoa or cinnamon.
Tips
- Use Assam or CTC for stronger body.
- Plant milks like oat or soy give a creamy texture.
- For iced: brew double‑strength and pour over ice.
